Q: my light does not turn on. only sometimes if i hold the switch half way down. is the switch defective?

A: This sounds like a problem I had a few weeks ago, my light would turn on sometimes if I held the button just right, sometimes not at all. Or it would change through the modes all by its self. I found that the there was a piece loose in the back section of the flashlight, where the switch is. if you take off the switch to change out the battery, my problem was that behind the spring that pushes down the battery there is a nut that holds the switch in place and it came loose. I removed the spring and tightened the nut that holds the button in place. 

 

Q: I went to bass pro store today. They sell the 18650 battery there and it is listed at 6 volts. Will this work? Some one said it was 4.2 volt.

A: It is my understanding that all 18650 batteries are 3.7 volts. Methinks someone at the store made a mistake which can be easily checked by reading the information on the battery itself.
